20 County OEM Members to Receive 2014 President’s Volunteer Service Award
Twenty members of the Kane County Office of Emergency Management will be awarded the 2014 President’s Volunteer Service Award.
Kane County OEM provides emergency and disaster services to communities through the efforts of more than 65 volunteers, who respond to emergencies such as traffic accidents, structure fires, missing persons, hazardous materials incidents and disasters at all hours of the day — including holidays.
“Through their continued devotion to service, they all demonstrate the kind of commitment to our community that moves Americans a step closer to its great promise,” said Kane County OEM Director Don Bryant.

The President’s Volunteer Service Award is the premier volunteer awards program, encouraging citizens to live a life of service through presidential gratitude and national recognition.
Along with the ultimate honor of presidential recognition, recipients will receive a personalized certificate, an official pin, medallion or coin, a congratulatory letter from the president of the United States and a letter from the President of Points of Light and the CEO of the Corporation for National and Community Service.
