5 Kane County School Districts Among Illinois’ Top 100
Five Kane County school districts were named this week among the top 100 in Illinois, according to a report by Niche, a research site that blends millions of community reviews and opinions with hard data.
The school districts are five of 9,299 to be ranked this year by Niche with only 8,738 school districts receiving a numerical ranking.
The five Kane County school districts and their state rankings are as follows:
No. 12 — Geneva Community Unit School District No. 304 (Geneva Township, IL)
Geneva has 5,959 students attending 10 schools in grades PK and K-12. According to state standards, 92% of students in this district are considered proficient in math and/or reading.
Geneva School District 304 put out a press release on the ranking.
“We are very pleased to receive this recognition,” said Superintendent Dr. Kent Mutchler in the release. “This award reflects high expectations and the importance of quality staff doing excellent work and caring parents working together to help all of our students succeed.”
No. 13 — St. Charles Community Unit School District No. 303 (St. Charles Township, IL)
No. 35 — Batavia Unified School District No. 101 (Batavia Township, IL)
No. 53 — Hinckley Big Rock Community Unit School District No. 429 (Big Rock Township, IL)
Hinckley Big Rock Community Unit School District No. 429 is centered in Big Rock Township, Illinois. It has 714 students attending 3 schools in grades PK and K-12. According to state standards, 88% of students in this district are considered proficient in math and/or reading.
