Milling and Paving LaFox Road Ready to Begin
Sound the trumpets!
Starting the week of May 4, 2015, milling and paving improvements on LaFox Road will begin. Construction work hours will be from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day for the following three weeks, weather permitting.
The work will take place on LaFox Road, from about 950 feet north of Campton Hills Road to about 650 feet south of Campton Hills Road.
The resurfacing process will include:
- Removal of 4 to 5 inches of existing pavement to allow for the new surface course to be placed.
- Placement of 5 inches of asphalt over an oil application to provide a new smooth riding.
- Restriping and shouldering of the roadways once asphalt is completed.
Temporary daily lane closures Monday thru Saturday will be required to accomplish this work.
The Kane County Division of Transportation asks drivers to please watch for, fresh oil signs, flaggers, and reduced speed while traveling through the construction zone. Motorists should expect delays, increased travel times during the resurfacing process, and are advised to consider alternate routes during the work.
Questions and concerns may be directed to John Guddendorf at (630) 816-9671.
This is in addition to paving work under way on Randall Road from Haw Lane to Dean Street in St. Charles.
