If this week’s Kane County Animal Control’s pet of the week, Renny, could talk, he would probably tell you that playing is “the most fun ever,” and fun is definitely what he is all about.

This energetic, 1-year old lab/pit bull mix is looking for an active home. If you have family members who enjoy getting into the zone through jogging, Renny would be more than willing to volunteer as your running partner.

He loves to play with his toys and can’t wait to show them to you. When you attempt to pull it out of his mouth, you can almost hear him laughing as he runs away and romps through the yard, ear flaps pointing in all directions.

A large puppy that is in need of consistent training, Renny is a goofy boy with a heart of gold. He’s learned one or two commands very well and if he doesn’t respond right away, it’s mainly due to how much fun he is having at the time.

With a tongue that seems too large for his mouth and a personality the size of all outdoors, Renny would make the perfect addition to any go-getter family with lots of love to give.

Maya

Maya, an American Bulldog mix that came to KCAC as a stray, was adopted last week! Her sole mission in life is to get as many kisses and hugs as possible. Congratulations, Maya, your new family will definitely help you achieve that goal!

Chaucer, is still looking for his forever family. Let him light up your life.

Long tall Sally, the brindle pit bull with a goofy grin, is still waiting for her Mustang family to adopt her.

How can you resist Payton?

Payton, the beagle whose owner surrendered her, still needs to find her Charlie Brown family.

How to Adopt

All Kane County Animal Control adoptable cats and dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on all vaccines including rabies. They are tested for feline leukemia/FIV and heartworm. The adoption fee for dogs is $200 and $100 for cats.

About Kane County Animal Control

It is the duty of the Animal Control Department to:

• Ensure that all domesticated dogs and cats over 4 months of age are vaccinated against Rabies and have a Kane County Rabies Tag.
• Ensure that all reported animal bites are given precautionary attention in relation to the possibility rabies infection.
• Ensure that pet owners are instructed on proper procedures pertaining to animal bites and enforce adherence to these procedures.
• Contain loose\stray dogs in unincorporated Kane County and those towns and villages with whom contracted.
• Investigate nuisance dog complaints in unincorporated Kane County and those towns and villages with whom contracted.
• Investigate complaints of neglected and\or abused dogs.
