The Kane County Division of Transportation is holding a public hearing Tuesday (Nov. 15, 2016) to gather public input on a plan designed to make travel through the intersection of Randall Road and Weld Road (East) safer and more efficient.

County officials say drivers could have fewer delays and the potential for crashes could be reduced if the county were to close Weld Road (East) and construct free-flow right turns to access eastbound U.S. 20 from both northbound and southbound Randall Road.

As the Kane County Division of Transportation develops a project development report to evaluate potential environmental impacts and benefits of constructing improvements to that intersection, it is holding a public open house and hearing to get your opinions about the project.

The open house and hearing will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016, at Elgin Community College, University & Business Center, Room E-106, located at 1700 Spartan Dr. Elgin.

Attendees may visit at any time during the open house to review displays, provide comment and meet with Kane County Division of Transportation staff and project team representatives.
