Playful. Loving. High-energy. Athletic. Happy-go-lucky. Gentle. No matter how many adjectives you may think of, they all seem to describe the Siberian Husky, and they all definitely define the personality of Kane County Animal Control’s Maple.

This brown-eyed, 7-month-old Siberian Husky beauty will greet you with a wide open, friendly grin as she throws herself onto your lap. The term watchdog isn’t in her vocabulary, for, as with most Siberians, no one she meets for the first time is a stranger. She loves everyone!

The great outdoors calls her name and every trip outside becomes the best adventure ever! Because she is still a puppy and has had very little socialization with other dogs, her forever family will need to take her to training so she can learn how to interact with them.

Typical of most Siberian’s, Maple has a very high prey drive, so she should not be adopted into a household with cats or other small animals.

If you lead an active lifestyle, are willing to give Maple consistent training and lots of companionship, then she will most certainly become an integral part of your family for the rest of her life.
