One Lane of Randall Road Will Be Closed May 2-4 in St. Charles

One lane of Randall Road will be closed from Tuesday, May 2, through Thursday, May 4, as city of St. Charles crews replace underground electric cables.

The single-lane closure will affect southbound drivers on Randall Road from south of Oak Street to Prairie Street. Work will take place daily between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Randall Road will remain open during construction, but will be reduced to one lane for this work. Drivers should expect delays while traveling through the work zone and may want to add additional time to their commutes or consider the use of alternate routes while this work is completed.

In the construction area, drivers must reduce their speed, watch for workers and vehicles entering or leaving the site, and obey flaggers and other traffic control devices within the work zone. It is illegal to talk on a cell phone while driving through a highway construction work zone.

Questions and concerns should be directed to Tom Bruhl, city of St. Charles, at 630-377-4401.
