POW! You Don’t Have to Break Any Eggs To Enjoy This Beautiful Omelette
“Of all God’s creatures, there is only one that cannot be made slave of the leash. That one is the cat.”
– Mark Twain
- KCAC’s Adorable, Adoptable Pet of the Week is written by Tecla Metzel of Kane County Animal Control. Additional photography by Lorena Page.
As anyone who has ever owned a cat knows, there are as many personalities of felines as there are breeds of cats.
There are shy cats, happy purring cats, cats that hide, outgoing cats that could work in public relations, always sleeping cats, nosy cats, spiritual-ethereal cats, water cats, lazy cats, search and find cats and, of course, there’s the talky cat.
Meet Omelette, a 9-month-old female, brown and black tabby domestic shorthair. This little chatterbox came to Kane County Animal Control as a pregnant mom-to-be and gave birth to five kittens fairly shortly thereafter. Her litter of kittens were all named after breakfast foods.
Once her little ones were weaned and began finding new homes, Omelette’s gossip queen side emerged. Who would have thought this little demure kitten would have so much to say. Perhaps she’s giving the full details of her life prior to becoming a teen mom, or perhaps she’s explaining how much she enjoys getting lots and lots of cuddle time.
Whatever the talk is all about, Omelette’s size is surely misleading because she can fill an entire room with her very large personality. She’s looking for a family that will listen to her as well as give her the love and stability she yearns for. Are you her new sounding board?
KCAC Updates
