ROE’s Photo Contest Week 1: Hampshire Junior Channels Picasso Cubism
Back by popular demand for its fourth year, the Kane County Regional Office of Education is proud to facilitate the Kane County High School Student Photography Contest. This is a 10-week initiative to celebrate the fine arts and highlight the talented students and instructors in Kane County.
“Each fall, we look forward to the photography contest,” said Regional Superintendent Patricia Dal Santo. “We’ve seen this contest grow with more schools getting involved each year and continuously hear from teachers how the contest is something that students are excited to participate in.”
For this first week of the contest, 72 photos were submitted from 66 students throughout Kane County! Submissions were seen from Aurora Christian High School, Bartlett High School, Dundee-Crown High School, East Aurora High School, Hampshire High School, Kaneland High School, St. Charles North High School, West Aurora High School, and several homeschooled students.
The ROE sends a big note of thanks to all of the photo teachers for their help with coordinating this effort.
Public and private high school teachers are encouraged to get involved and submit their students’ work to Mike Ademe at the Kane County Regional Office of Education. Also, stay tuned to Kane County Connects in the coming weeks for an announcement about this year’s artist reception!
Without further ado, here are the top 10 photos that were submitted this week.
