ROE Photo Contest Week 6: Stunning Batavia Image Puts Us in a Purple Haze
The clocks have fallen back with Daylight Saving Time, and the days are getting shorter, but that hasn’t stopped the creativity of our Kane County student photographers! This week we saw 75 submissions from students at 10 local high schools. This brings the total amount of submissions received to 542 photos, which is the most ever received during one year of the photo contest!
We have some exciting updates regarding the Photography Reception from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, at Water Street Studios. The ROE has partnered again with Image Awards to produce trophies for the students who took the top photo of each week. The ROE has also partnered with the Batavia High School Culinary Arts department to bring delicious appetizers to the event!
Stay tuned for more information about the photography reception in the coming weeks.
There are still four weeks left in the contest! Teachers and students interested in participating in the contest should contact Mike Ademe at the Kane ROE. Here are the top 10 photos from this week.
