March 20 Primary Results: State, Federal Races — Pritzker Vs. Rauner For Gov, Raoul Vs. Harold For AG in November

9 A.M. THURSDAY, MARCH 22, UPDATE

JB Pritzker ran away with the Democratic nomination for governor and Gov. Bruce Rauner got a real challenge Tuesday in the GOP primary. They will face off in the November General Election.

For state attorney general, it will be Republican Erika Harold against Democrat Kwame Raoul in November. Raoul edged former Gov. Pat Quinn and six other candidates for the Democratic nomination. Harold defeated Gary Grasso handily in the Republican primary.

Locally, Tonia Jane Khouri defeated Nic Zito for the GOP nomination for state representative in the 49th District. She will face Karina Villa, who ran unopposed in the primary.

On the Democratic side, Paul Stoddard easily defeated Howard Solomon in Tuesday’s primary race for the state 70th District seat. He will run against Republican Jeff Keicher in November.

In federal contests, Democrat Sean Casten won the U.S. Congressional 6th District primary race. He will face Republican Peter Roskam, who ran unopposed in Tuesday’s primary.

Republican Nick Stella got the nod in Tuesday’s primary race for the 11th District nomination. He will face Democratic incumbent Bill Foster in November.

Lauren Underwood won the Democratic nomination for the 14th District U.S. congressional seat. She will go up against Republican incumbent Randy Hultgren in November.
