POW! Mickleson Is Tiny And Mighty Sweet!

You might say Mickleson, KCAC’s 7-year-old miniature Dachshund-mix, is tiny, but mighty — mighty sweet, that is.
Found as a stray in Montgomery, Mickleson doesn’t seem too bothered about winding up in a shelter as long as there are people around to take him for walks and give him lots of cuddles.
The gray on his muzzle is only a badge of honor for making it this far in life. Just because he’s considered a senior doesn’t mean he’s slowed down or taken to his dog bed for comfort in his golden years. Age doesn’t define him as he constantly amazes the shelter staff with how active he is.
He enjoys running around outside and playing, especially with other dogs just his size.
If you can open your heart to include a sweet, older little guy that is willing to play like a puppy and cuddle like there’s only today, then Mickleson is the perfect companion for you!

Jax
Schroeder, the cutest puppy ever, found his forever home and is happily spending his puppy life getting spoiled. Congratulations, Schroeder!
Congratulations to Jax, a 6-month-old Siberian husky, that found his new family last week and is looking forward to going to school to learn how to be a good citizen. We’re sure you’re going to be first in your class, Jax!

Talky Sid, the black domestic longhaired cat, caught a ride on the express train with his new family and is happily keeping up his end of the conversation.
How to Adopt
All Kane County Animal Control adoptable cats and dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on all vaccines, including rabies. They are tested for feline leukemia/FIV and heartworm.
The adoption fee is $200 for dogs and $100 for cats. Adoption of two dogs is $300, and adoption of two cats is $150. The adoption fee for cockatiels is $25.

About Kane County Animal Control
It is the duty of the Animal Control Department to:
Ensure that all domesticated dogs and cats over 4 months of age are vaccinated against rabies and have a Kane County rabies tag.- Ensure that all reported animal bites are given precautionary attention in relation to the possibility rabies infection.
- Ensure that pet owners are instructed on proper procedures pertaining to animal bites and enforce adherence to these procedures.
- Contain loose\stray dogs in unincorporated Kane County and those towns and villages with whom contracted.
- Investigate nuisance dog complaints in unincorporated Kane County and those towns and villages with whom contracted.
