POW! Sweet, Green-Eyed Pumpkin Is Ready For Years of Cuddling

When you first meet Pumpkin, KCAC’s 13-year-old domestic shorthair, you notice his huge green eyes watch everything that moves around his immediate surroundings. He’s focused and aware, characteristics you might not attribute to an older feline.

But Pumpkin isn’t just any cat. Surrendered by his owner, Pumpkin has the countenance of a cat that has had more than a lifetime of experiences and knows many secrets, all of which he holds close in some nonverbal commitment to never share with those who are bound by earthly restraints.
A short phrase to describe Pumpkin’s overall demeanor might be “Sweet 13” because you’ll never find a more loving and cuddly little guy. He enjoys getting petted, which he reciprocates by showing you as much love as he can. Sitting in someone’s lap gives him the pleasure of their company for as long as they can handle it.
He minds his own business around other cats, but is willing to play if it’s initiated.
Pumpkin is ready to give you many years of cuddling and snuggling if you’re willing to give an older gentleman a chance!
How to Adopt
All Kane County Animal Control adoptable cats and dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on all vaccines, including rabies. They are tested for feline leukemia/FIV and heartworm.
The adoption fee is $200 for dogs and $100 for cats. Adoption of two dogs is $300, and adoption of two cats is $150. The adoption fee for cockatiels is $25.

About Kane County Animal Control
It is the duty of the Animal Control Department to:
Ensure that all domesticated dogs and cats over 4 months of age are vaccinated against rabies and have a Kane County rabies tag.- Ensure that all reported animal bites are given precautionary attention in relation to the possibility rabies infection.
- Ensure that pet owners are instructed on proper procedures pertaining to animal bites and enforce adherence to these procedures.
- Contain loose\stray dogs in unincorporated Kane County and those towns and villages with whom contracted.
- Investigate nuisance dog complaints in unincorporated Kane County and those towns and villages with whom contracted.
