The white stripe down the middle of his forehead to his nose is almost like an exclamation point with the point ending under his nose.
Boots
In the world of black and white cats, it definitely makes him stand out and forces those who might otherwise overlook him to take notice.
Perhaps he was given this mark so those who would see him might conclude that it’s OK to stand out among your peers, because that’s when someone might notice you and give you that forever home you’ve always wanted.
Typical of most cats, there’s an air of mystery about him. His name is Boots, but it wasn’t always. He had another name in a different lifetime. And although he’s only 3-years-old, this handsome domestic shorthair began his journey a long way from Kane County.
Found as a stray, Boots shows no wear or tear from his adventures. Such a sweet and laid-back little boy that just wants a lot of petting and cuddling, he doesn’t mind the company of other cats, but he continues his mystery of life by staying to himself.
Front-pawed and declawed, Boots will make an excellent new addition to any family that has the patience to allow him to stand out in his new environment.
How to Adopt
All Kane County Animal Control adoptable cats and dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on all vaccines, including rabies. They are tested for feline leukemia/FIV and heartworm.
The adoption fee is $200 for dogs and $100 for cats. Adoption of two dogs is $300, and adoption of two cats is $150. The adoption fee for cockatiels is $25.

About Kane County Animal Control
It is the duty of the Animal Control Department to:
Ensure that all domesticated dogs and cats over 4 months of age are vaccinated against rabies and have a Kane County rabies tag.- Ensure that all reported animal bites are given precautionary attention in relation to the possibility rabies infection.
- Ensure that pet owners are instructed on proper procedures pertaining to animal bites and enforce adherence to these procedures.
- Contain loose\stray dogs in unincorporated Kane County and those towns and villages with whom contracted.
- Investigate nuisance dog complaints in unincorporated Kane County and those towns and villages with whom contracted.
