2020 Census Jobs Available in Kane County
Kane County communities have been sending out notices of late, letting residents know about jobs available with the U.S. Census Bureau.
The Census Bureau is hiring for a variety of temporary jobs, including census takers, recruiting assistants, office staff, and supervisory staff. To be eligible, you must be at least 18 years old, have a valid Social Security number, and be a U.S. citizen.
Candidates must complete an online job application. The application includes assessment questions about your education, work, and other experience.

Census Bureau Seeks Supervisors in Chicago Area
The Census Bureau’s Chicago Regional Office is seeking field supervisor positions in the Chicago Metro area to interview respondents. Pay ranges from $19.71 to $25.62 per hour, depending on location.

Duties
A first-level supervisor is responsible for six to 15 field representatives who do data collection in a specific geography, sometimes in hard-to-count areas. The field supervisor may assist with training and recruiting staff and will monitor team progress and complete field assignments as needed to achieve standards and expectations.
Requirements
The requirements include U.S. citizenship, a driver’s license, an insured working auto, access to a landline, Internet access, previous supervisory experience and the ability to operate a laptop.
Each candidate works out of his or her home and must live in Cook, DeKalb, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kendall, Will or McHenry county in Illinois.
