POW! With Calico And Cole Porter, ‘I Love Paris’ All Year Long

“I love Paris in the springtime. I love Paris in the fall. I love Paris in the winter when it drizzles. I love Paris in the summer when it sizzles.”
Song lyrics of “I Love Paris” by Cole Porter

There are many reasons to fall in love with Paris when you first meet her. Not the City of Love in far-away France, but the 2-year-old female calico at KCAC that’s the most beautiful specimen of a cat, bar none.

Paris

It’s her markings that make her stand out from all the other cats. Long haired and tricolored, with a melding of a number of browns, tans and black swatches, the color pattern would make any artist jealous.

Paris is as sweet as the Musée d’Orsay and all of its art work and sculptures by French artists. Although she was surrendered due to an eviction, she has proven herself to be a real attention-hog that loves to cuddle with anyone willing to spend the time with her.

She is perfectly able to maintain her gorgeous long coat on her own, but her new family will need to keep a brush handy to help her keep her beautiful long hair free of mats in order for her to maintain her je ne sais quoi.

Other cats don’t bother Paris, but she mainly just keeps to herself. She probably would do well in a home where there aren’t other felines, especially females.

As we begin a New Year full of hope and promise, make a New Year’s resolution to visit Paris…and maybe bring her home!
