POW! Laya’s Sweet Face Will Melt Your Heart on Valentine’s Day

Her soft green eyes almost stare through you, as though she’s sizing you up as possible potential to become her new owner. It didn’t take long on first meeting her for her sweet little face to melt your heart.
Laya
As you make encouraging sounds to bring her toward you, you realize how absolutely beautiful this feline is. Dark marks above her eyes almost form an M, which could be a sign that she encompasses a little Maine Coon or Norwegian Forest cat within her genes.
No matter her breeding, her name is Laya, and she definitely fits the category of a princess. When she first arrived at KCAC as a stray, she was extremely matted and had to undergo almost a complete shave.
Found huddled against an apartment building in Batavia, Laya appears to be about 7-years-old, a great age for someone that doesn’t want the uncapped energy of a kitten, but still wants a cat with enough liveliness to enjoy exploring.
This super sweet domestic longhair can be a little shy at first encounter, but once she gets to know you as her new friend, she’s all about getting lots of petting and brushing. Due to her long hair, she will need someone willing to spend the time to keep her coiffure combed and managed.
Laya is a fluffy, friendly, feline that looks good lounging around any décor and is willing to learn all the special places she can discover at your house. Are you ready for Laya?
How to Adopt
All Kane County Animal Control adoptable cats and dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on all vaccines, including rabies. They are tested for feline leukemia/FIV and heartworm.
The adoption fee is $200 for dogs and $100 for cats. Adoption of two dogs is $300, and adoption of two cats is $150. The adoption fee for cockatiels is $25.

About Kane County Animal Control
It is the duty of the Animal Control Department to:
Ensure that all domesticated dogs and cats over 4 months of age are vaccinated against rabies and have a Kane County rabies tag.- Ensure that all reported animal bites are given precautionary attention in relation to the possibility rabies infection.
- Ensure that pet owners are instructed on proper procedures pertaining to animal bites and enforce adherence to these procedures.
- Contain loose\stray dogs in unincorporated Kane County and those towns and villages with whom contracted.
- Investigate nuisance dog complaints in unincorporated Kane County and those towns and villages with whom contracted.
