POW! Better Move Fast If You Want a Yoga Partner Like Shih Tzu Charley!
“Petting, scratching, and cuddling a dog could be as soothing to the mind and heart as deep meditation and almost as good for the soul as prayer.”
– Dean Koontz, American writer

OK, yoga participants, begin Asana!
Breathe … and then pet Charley.
Breathe … and then gently cuddle Charley
Notice your heart rate decreasing, the tightness in your chest loosening.
Take a moment to stare into Charley’s large, brown eyes and allow the breaths to emerge easily. Return to petting Charley.
Repeat numerous times as needed.
Namaste.
What a great yoga partner Charley is! Despite being an owner surrender, this 11-year-old Shih Tzu is super soulful with the heart of an angel and a very sociable personality. He makes sure everyone in the room has had an opportunity to greet him and pet him before he runs over to the next person.
He doesn’t mind other dogs as long as they mind their manners, but he definitely prefers people.
Don’t believe for one moment that he sees his age as a detriment because Charley enjoys walks and playing with any toy you might throw down the hallway for him to chase.
Charley wags his tail allowing a brief smile to emerge from his little under-bite as he wanders into the room hoping someone will begin a long form of meditation with him.
Breathe … and pet Charley!
