A burst of black and white runs through the KCAC office and skids toward a small red kitten ball. Her feline debut into the room gives the on-looker a sense that this kitten knows its purpose.
Elle
Her name is Elle, but you can call her “L” for short.
She’s all of 9-months-old, found as a stray, too cute to wander the streets of Wayne for all of her days.
Her markings suggest the artist was influenced by the black and white pattern of the Holstein cow, but Elle is all feline, ready and able to jump into your lap for long periods of snuggle-time. As she begins her hug, she gradually makes her way curled around your neck as she purrs into your ear.
If she can find her way onto the back of your shoulders and neck, her purrs become more intense as she rubs her head against your ear.
Elle is super sweet and will beg for attention from anyone and everyone in the room for that extra cuddle, that soft scratching behind the ears, and that hug and snuggle.
And to make it even easier for you to fall in love with her, she’ll hug you back!

How to Adopt
All Kane County Animal Control adoptable cats and dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on all vaccines, including rabies. They are tested for feline leukemia/FIV and heartworm.
The adoption fee is $200 for dogs and $100 for cats. Adoption of two dogs is $300, and adoption of two cats is $150. The adoption fee for cockatiels is $25.

About Kane County Animal Control
It is the duty of the Animal Control Department to:
Ensure that all domesticated dogs and cats over 4 months of age are vaccinated against rabies and have a Kane County rabies tag.- Ensure that all reported animal bites are given precautionary attention in relation to the possibility rabies infection.
- Ensure that pet owners are instructed on proper procedures pertaining to animal bites and enforce adherence to these procedures.
- Contain loose\stray dogs in unincorporated Kane County and those towns and villages with whom contracted.
- Investigate nuisance dog complaints in unincorporated Kane County and those towns and villages with whom contracted.
