POW! Sweet Cadbury Needs a Little Sunshine!

The gray days sit over Kane County like a mother bird sits on her nest. Unmovable, seemingly a permanent fixture with no hint of spring, sun or warmth arriving in the near future.
Cadbury
This kind of weather doesn’t just affect humans, it also creates a pall over animals, as well. Sleeping dogs keep sleeping, and cats find the warmest part of the house to stretch out their bones made stiff by the cold, rainy days.
For Cadbury, a 5-year-old white and brown Domestic shorthair in need of a new home, it’s got to feel as though that will never happen, as though the depressing gray days have limited him, put a hold on his natural creative ways of getting someone to notice him.
He was an owner-surrender because his original owner had passed away and the family wasn’t in a position to take on another responsibility.
He’s got the cutest face with a little bunny-like nose that makes him stand out among the other cats in the cat room at KCAC. Sweet, but a little shy at times, it will take a little time for him to warm up to his new people. After the first pet, he purrs his approval and settles in for more.
Cadbury doesn’t mind having other cats around, and he would probably do best in a household more on the quiet and easy-going side with plenty of windows where he can revel in some of that sunshine that might eventually bring the dark corners of nature into the light, finally announcing it’s springtime in Kane County!

Donut
Congratulations to Donut, the 1-year-old gray and white Domestic shorthair that was part of a home eviction. He found his large forever family with an unlimited amount of love and cuddling.
The sweet-natured little man is sure to be the center of attention in his new household for the rest of his days!
How to Adopt
All Kane County Animal Control adoptable cats and dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on all vaccines, including rabies. They are tested for feline leukemia/FIV and heartworm.
The adoption fee is $200 for dogs and $100 for cats. Adoption of two dogs is $300, and adoption of two cats is $150. The adoption fee for cockatiels is $25.

About Kane County Animal Control
It is the duty of the Animal Control Department to:
Ensure that all domesticated dogs and cats over 4 months of age are vaccinated against rabies and have a Kane County rabies tag.- Ensure that all reported animal bites are given precautionary attention in relation to the possibility rabies infection.
- Ensure that pet owners are instructed on proper procedures pertaining to animal bites and enforce adherence to these procedures.
- Contain loose\stray dogs in unincorporated Kane County and those towns and villages with whom contracted.
- Investigate nuisance dog complaints in unincorporated Kane County and those towns and villages with whom contracted.
