Are You Homeschooling? Popular May 8 Nature Program in Hampshire
Homeschool families are invited to Rutland Forest Preserve in May for the Forest Preserve District of Kane County’s popular program series — “Homeschool Explorations.”
Forest Preserve naturalists lead the program specially designed for homeschool families with children ages 5-10, although all ages are welcome. Each month, we cover a new topic at a different forest preserve, with lots of hands-on activities and plenty of fun.
Our next “Homeschool Explorations” program is Thursday, May 8, when we’ll feature the theme ‘What’s in a Name?’ Families may choose from the morning session from 10-11:30 a.m., or the afternoon session from 1-2:30 p.m. Registration is $2 per person or $8 per family of 4 or more.
Space is limited. Please call ahead to reserve your spot. Advance registration is required. Call 630-444-3190 or e-mail programs@kaneforest.com to register.
Rutland Forest Preserve is located at 41W230 Big Timber Rd., Hampshire.
