When we posted “10 Farmer’s Markets Coming to Kane County” last week, we got a followup email from Karen Blair, the marketing manager for the village of East Dundee, saying they’ve got a new Sunday Farmer’s Market to add to the list.

Sponsored by the village of East Dundee, the farmer’s market is on Sundays through end of October. “It features ONLY food and horticultural products sold by local farmers, producers and businesses. This market will showcase plant and vegetable farmers, infused balsamic vinegar, olive oils, pickles and pickled vegetables, New Orleans style cooking, breakfast sandwiches, gourmet pancake food truck when available, fresh-from-the-oven breads, gourmet sweet treats and goodies, a vertical aeroponic growing systems and natural soaps, makeup (made from garden herbs) and soy candles,” the East Dundee website says.

Home Depot is also giving back to the community by offering kids do-it-yourself take home kits to build as well as offering various horticultural advice.

The Sunday farmer’s market is during the same hours (8 a.m. to 2 p.m.) and same location as the Saturday Depot Market, 319 N River St.

“This is our first year, so any help in getting the word out would be appreciated!” Blair said.
