Kane County Recycles is recycling electronics and books from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at 540 S. Randall Road in St. Charles.

It’s also a great time to pick up the new Kane County Recycles Green Guide for 2014-2015!

On May 10, you can recycle electronics — computers, keyboards, laptops, printers, televisions (any size or age), stereos, cell phones, microwaves, basically anything with a plug on it, except large household appliances like refrigerators and washing machines. You can also recycle books of any age and condition.

Recycling volunteers unload for you. A complete list of accepted items, and more information can be found at this link. Look under “Electronics Recycling.”

This is NOT a document-shredding event.

The next event will be from 8 a.m. to noon June 14 at the same location, and will be the Annual Recycling Extravaganza and Document Shredding Event. More information is available on the Kane County Recycles webpage.
