For the 12th year in a row, Kane County police officers will stake out Dunkin’ Donuts rooftops to benefit Special Olympics Illinois.

From 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, May, 30, hundreds of police officers from throughout the state will cover more than 150 Dunkin’ Donuts rooftops to heighten awareness and raise money for the Law Enforcement Torch Run to benefit Special Olympics Illinois.

The stakes for this year’s rooftop promotion are high, as officers hope to raise more than $325,000 for the event! In return for the police officers doing time at their stores, Dunkin’ Donuts will donate $15,000 to the Torch Run fund.

In addition, everyone who visits a Cop on a Rooftop store and makes a donation to the Torch Run will receive a free donut. Individuals who donate at least $10 will receive a Law Enforcement Torch Run travel mug (while supplies last) and a coupon for a free medium coffee. Other items, such as Torch Run T-shirts and hats, will be sold for various donation amounts, and other activities will vary by Dunkin’ Donuts location.
