Don’t be surprised if the nice day we’re supposed to have Saturday segues into severe weather. The National Weather Service has a Hazardous Weather Alert in place for Kane County this weekend.

According to the NWS, we’ll have a chance of periodic thunderstorms Saturday night through Monday night, with the “greatest threats being Sunday night and later again on Monday.” There is some potential for severe weather — tornadoes, for example — during those times.
