Sheriff’s Office Investigating Inmate’s Death in Justice Center Cellblock

Deceased is Albert Love, 25, of the 200 block of Grand Ridge in St. Charles, Il.

 

Editor’s Note: The following information is from a press release issued Tuesday by the Kane County Sheriff’s Office.

 

On May 27, 2014 at approximately 3:30 p.m., correctional and medical staff at the Kane County Adult Justice Center responded to a cellblock regarding a detainee who was suffering a medical event. Medical staff treated him and determined he could return to his cell. A short time after returning him to his cell he was found unresponsive. He was transported to Delnor Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

The Kane County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death. The initial investigation indicates there were no signs of trauma, and this does not appear to be a suicide attempt.

The Kane County Coroner’s Office is conducting an autopsy.

Deceased is Albert Love, 25, of the 200 block of Grand Ridge in St. Charles, Il. Love was brought into the Kane County Adult Justice Center on March 27 for a felony criminal damage to property charge out of the St. Charles Police Department.

The Kane County Adult Justice Center is located at 37W755 IL Route 38, St. Charles.
