Tree-Trimming Along Great Western Trail in St. Charles Starts Wednesday
The Forest Preserve District of Kane County asks Great Western Trail users to be aware of a tree-trimming project that may briefly impact the trail in St. Charles.
Skyline Tree Service, under contract by the city of St. Charles, will trim trees along the Great Western Trail from Dean Street to Peck Road, beginning Wednesday, May 14.
The Forest Preserve District asks trail users to be mindful of the possibility for construction traffic, machinery, and/or workers on our around the trails. Signs will be posted along the trail in both directions, leading up to the project area.
While the trail will be kept open for majority of the work, it may become necessary to briefly close an area.
The trimming project is expected to take up to a week, depending on weather.
