Burlington will be hosting the first of five Open Air Market days July 12 in the Old Second parking lot on Water Street between Main Street and South Street.

“We are busy adding a wide variety of vendors to be there for your convenience. Come see what Burlington and the surrounding area has to offer!” said Mary Lake, president of the Burlington Business Council.

All markets take place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the second Saturday of each month: July 12, Aug. 9, Sept. 13, and Oct. 11. Open-air markets offer a wide range of items, from fresh produce to plants, wall art/photos, nutrition, cosmetics and craft items.

The July 12 event includes an electronics drive.

“Bring us your electronics for recycling, bring us anything with a cord or that takes batteries,” Lake said.

There will also be fitness boot camps and yoga in the park on those same days, and more features will be added in August, September and October.

“Come and check us out, because we will be different each time!” Lake said.
