Come Enjoy a Pig Roast June 28 at Historic Corron Farm
Corron Farm Preservation Society will hold its second annual Pig Roast at Historic Corron Farm, 7N761 Corron Road, Campton Hills, IL (Silver Glen and Corron Roads) on Saturday, June 28, 2014, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Food will be served from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m..
Admission to the grounds is free. A dinner ticket, which includes meal, dessert, and non-alcoholic beverages is $15 per person over 12 and $5 for children 6-11. Children under 5 are free. There will be live music, children’s activities, mule pulled wagon rides, and fundraising items for purchase.
Corron Farm Preservation Society is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. The Society is currently raising money for an architectural analysis of the 1874 Dairy Barn at the historic Corron Farm. Robert Corron was one of the early settlers of Campton Township, arriving in 1835. In 2002 Campton Township purchased the farm from the Corron family as part of the Open Space program.
