Friday Veterans Fair at AU Will Help Vets Find Help, Jobs, Education

Veterans Assistance at AU

 

The Kane County Veterans Assistance Commission is encouraging participation in the Veterans Resource Fair from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, June 20, at the Aurora University Institute for Collaboration, 1347 Prairie Street, Aurora.

The Veterans Assistance Commission is one of the participating organizations for the free event, which can help veterans find assistance from various agencies and explore undergraduate and graduate degrees at the university.

Veterans and their families will be able to obtain information about educational opportunities, employment, housing, health care, mental health, financial programs, legislative assistance, and other area veterans’ organizations.

Participating agencies include the Aurora Public Library, Aurora University Center for Adult and Graduate Studies, City of Aurora Veterans Advisory Council, Congressman Bill Foster, DryHootch of America, DuPage County Veterans Center, Fox Valley Marines, Hines Veterans Hospital, Hope forTomorrow, Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs, Kane County Veterans Assistance Commission, Old Second National Bank, Rebuilding Together Aurora, American Legion Post 84, and the US Department of Veterans Affairs – Chicago Regional Office.
