On May 17, Kane County Animal Control Department hosted its first “5K Dog Jog”  in Geneva, beginning at the shelter at 4060 Keslinger Road. Approximately 30 joggers and dog walkers came out to participant in this event.

“The event raised $1,000, and monies benefit the homeless pets in our care,” Kane County Health Department Executive Director Barb Jeffers said. Animal Control is under the direction of the Kane County Health Department.
