Morning and afternoon tee times are available for the 20th annual Golf for Kids Benefit Outing that will be held on Monday, June 30, at Orchard Valley Golf Course.

The Golf for Kids Benefit Outing supports The First Tee of Aurora and Fox River Valley, which funds scholarships that provide golfing opportunities and life skills through the game of golf for area youth and children.

Over the last two decades, the Fox Valley Park Foundation has helped raise over $500,000 to fund scholarship programs that are offered in nearly 50 local schools. More than 3,000 local youth have benefitted from these scholarships, including a record 246 students in 2013.

“Our mission is to impact the lives of young people by providing learning facilities and educational programs that promote character development and life-enhancing values through the game of golf,” said First Tee program director  Dan Abella.

Players may register individually or as a group, with the choice of team scramble or individual stroke play. Registration fee is $175 per player and includes a tee gift (Men’s Nike Therma-Fit 1/2-zip Pullover or Women’s Nike Windproof Anorack Jacket), green fees with cart for 18 holes, breakfast, lunch and dinner at Orchards Restaurant, door prizes and raffle prizes.

In addition to the Men’s Nike Pullover or Women’s Nike Jacket, special anniversary gifts will be given to all participants, including a sleeve of golf balls and a 20th anniversary pint glass.

Morning play begins at 7:30 a.m. and afternoon play at 1 p.m. with a shotgun start for each. An evening putting contest will be held, with a $1,000 prize to the winner.
