2 Armed With Rifles Hold Up Auto-Repair Store, Ask for Jewelry and Escape With $2,000 Cash

The Kane County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report of an armed robbery around noon Tuesday at an auto-repair business located at 1905 N. Farnsworth Ave. in unincorporated Aurora Township.

Two victims told sheriff’s deputies that a man and woman armed with rifles approached their auto repair business, Technically Automotive, at around 11:50 a.m. and demanded they give them jewelry. The victims did not have any jewelry, but ended up handing over about $2,000 in cash, according to reports.

The two suspects eventually forced the victims inside the business and tied them up. The victims were then ordered into a bathroom and told to stay in the business for 30 minutes, while the suspects left in an unknown direction.

There is a jewelry store located in the front of the building where the auto repair business is located.

The first suspect is described as a black male, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, about  200 pounds and betwen 30 and 40 years old, wearing a black baseball hat, white pants, dark shoes, dark-rimmed glasses with curved amber lenses and garden-style gloves.

The second suspect is a black female black, about 6 feet 2 inches tall, 145 to 150 pounds, between 25 and 35 years old, wearing a dark black baseball hat, dark hoodie, baggy clothes, and a gold stud piercing in her tongue.
