3 Kane County Hospitals Among Best in Illinois

Delnor Hospital Rush Copley St. Joseph

 U.S. News & World Report has named three Kane County hospitals among the best in Illinois and the Chicago area.

According to the 2014-15 ratings, released Tuesday, there are 118 hospitals in the Chicago area, and 41 received top ranking. In Kane County, Presence St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin, Cadence Health-Delnor Hospital in Geneva and Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora made the list.

Presence St. Joseph was ranked No. 29 in Illinois and No. 26 in the Chicago metro area.

Delnor Hospital, operated by Cadence Health, and Rush-Copley Medical Center were tied in both rankings: No. 40 in Illinois and No. 34 in the Chicago metro area.

As an aside, Delnor’s sister hospital, Cadence Health-Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, was ranked ninth in the Chicago area.

Rush-Copley Medical Center

 

Northwestern Memorial Hospital was the top-ranked hospital in the state, with 13 nationally ranked specialties and one high-performing specialty.
