Starting the week of July 14, 2014, milling and paving on Corron and Silver Glen Roads will begin. Construction work hours on both segments will be from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day for about the following three weeks, weather permitting.

We’re talking about the county highway on Corron Road from Bowes Road to McDonald Road and on Silver Glen from Randall Road to Corron Road.

The resurfacing process will include:

  • Removal of 1 1⁄2 inches of existing pavement to allow for the new surface course to be placed.
  • Placement of 2 1⁄4 inches of an asphalt layer over an oil application to provide a new smooth riding surface.

Temporary daily lane closures Monday through Saturday will be required to accomplish this work. Please watch for fresh oil signs, flaggers and reduce speed while traveling through construction zone. Motorists should expect delays, increased travel times during the resurfacing process, and are advised to consider alternate routes during this work.
