Geneva Police Seeking Assistance In Solving Swedish Days Parade Burglary
The Geneva Police Department received a report of a burglary that occurred on an unsecured school bus during the Swedish Days parade June 22.
The bus, which was used to transport the South Shore Drill Team to the parade, was burglarized between 12:40 and 1:15 p.m. After dropping off the team at the parade starting point, the bus was driven to the Geneva Train Depot’s south permit lot. At this time, the bus was left unattended and unsecured.
Four purses/bags containing electronic equipment and money were reported stolen. After exiting the bus, the offender left in an unidentified vehicle and proceeded to discard the purses and bags.
The Geneva Police Department is requesting the assistance of anyone who may have witnessed the burglary or noted any suspicious activity during the incident timeframe. If anyone has pertinent information, please call Detective Sgt. Michael Frieders at 630-232-4736.

I thought the bus itself was stolen. This is much less exciting.
