Geneva Woman, 32, Found Dead on Rail Tracks Near Esping Park
Geneva Police responded to a report of a woman lying on the Union Pacific Railway tracks at 6:50 a.m. Sunday, July 6, south of Esping Park, 227 Briar Lane, according to an email report from the city of Geneva Police Department.
A Metra conductor traveling on Track No. 1 observed a white female laying on Track No. 2, the southernmost set of tracks.
The woman was found dead upon arrival of Geneva police officers. She has been identified as Kathleen M. King, 32, of Geneva. The cause of death is unknown at this time.
The incident is being investigated by the Geneva Police Department, Union Pacific Police, Metra Police and the Kane County Coroner’s Office. Any requests regarding the cause of death should be referred to the Kane County Coroner’s Office.
