Kane County Fair 2014: ‘Enjoy the Noise’ July 16-20
It’s time for the 146th annual Kane County Fair! Enjoy the noise on Wednesday, July 16 through Sunday, July 20, 2014 at the Kane County Fairgrounds, Randall Road and Oak Street, in St. Charles.
The Kane County Fair will be filled with sights and sounds that delight for five days of family fun. Grandstand highlights include FMX Freestyle Motocross at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 17; Professional Championship Bull Riding on at 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 18, and 7 p.m. Saturday, July 19; and the Demolition Derby at 7 p.m. Sunday, July 20.
Enjoy live music at the Miller Lite Soundstage with favorite tribute bands such as Chicago Tribute Anthology, American English and the Neverly Brothers, to name a few!
Daily outdoor events will keep you busy! Have fun with daily carnival specials and the new Wacky Worm Family Roller Coaster. Taste your favorite fair food — elephant ears, turkey legs and more — every day! Sit back and enjoy the Swifty Swine Racing Pigs, the Big Cat Encounter Tiger Show and the Sheer Magic Show! Watch the 4-H competitions and visit the rabbit and cow barns! Daily cow milking demonstrations, too!
Daily indoor events in the air-conditioned Prairie Events Center include a commercial expo featuring local businesses and services.
The Midway opens at 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, and Thursday, July 17, and at noon Friday, July 18, Saturday, July 19 and Sunday, July 20. Admission is $5 on Wednesday, July 16, and Thursday, July 17; $10 on Friday, July 18, through Sunday, July 20.
There are plenty of ways to save, too. Purchase a “five day admission season pass” for $20 per person for fair admission.
New this year, all tickets will be available to be purchased in advance through a secure PayPal connection at www.kanecountyfair.com.
