Roadway construction on French Road between Lenschow Road and Illinois Route 72 will start on Wednesday, July 23, 2014, weather permitting, and is expected to last approximately four months. The work includes replacing the existing bridge, resurfacing the roadway, restoration, and landscaping.

Construction will be completed in stages and require French Road to be reduced to one lane throughout the project corridor. Temporary traffic signals will be installed on French Road to maintain traffic through the construction zone 24-hours a day for the duration of the project.

A reduced speed limit will be posted to protect both motorists and construction crews.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution while traveling through the work zone, watch for equipment entering and exiting on French Road, and expect increased travel times.
