Who Has the Best Fireworks in Kane County? Pingree Grove!
Pingree Grove is a quaint, historic village founded in the 1880s, according to the Pingree Grove website.
“We have successfully blended our heritage and quality of life with many new residential neighborhoods that makes Pingree Grove ‘A Place to Grow.’ ”
Apparently, it’s also a rockin’ place to see fireworks on the Fourth of July weekend, at least, according to the Kane County Connects reader poll, which Pingree Grove won hands down.
Of the 289 votes cast since Friday, Pingree Grove tallied 196, or almost 68 percent. Sleepy Hollow was second, with 59 votes —more than 20 percent of the total.
Pingree Grove certainly does Independence Day justice. The celebration goes on for two days and includes live music, food and drink, a parade, a car show, live stage performances, craft vendors and the whole nine yards.
Congratulations to Pingree Grove — maybe the place to be if you’re looking for Fourth of July weekend fun in 2015.
