“Mommy! Mommy! Mommy! I went on the helicopter!”

The joy of children and adults was apparent Tuesday night, as Kane County celebrated National Night Out with an array of family fun and public safety information.

Kane County Sheriff Pat Perez led festivities that ranged from a helicopter appearance to inflatable slides to men and women on horseback to food to face painting. About 200 people were in attendance at around 7 p.m. for the festivities that started at 6 p.m. and went until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2014.
