An Aurora man has been sent to prison after he pleaded guilty for raping a child he knew.

Jose Saul Zavaleta-Gonzalez, 21, most recently of the  400 block of Pine Avenue, Aurora, on Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2014, agreed to a sentence of eight years in the Illinois Department of Corrections in exchange for a guilty plea to predatory criminal sexual assault, a Class X felony.

Circuit Judge Susan Clancy Boles accepted the plea.

Sometime between Aug. 1, 2011, and June 14, 2013, Zavaleta-Gonzalez committed an act of sexual penetration with the victim, who was younger than 12 years old at the time. Zavaleta-Gonzalez occasionally lived at the home of the victim.
