CASA Kane County Launches Facebook Challenge
CASA Kane County has started an initiative to increase its Facebook “Likes” to help increase awareness of the organization and assist in the recruitment of new volunteers. Part of this new challenge is to ask existing supporters and friends to reach out to their contacts and ask them to connect to the page.
CASA Kane County will use Facebook to interact with its supporters by telling stories, giving facts and quotes, and ultimately reaching out to new individuals.
There are three main ways for someone to connect to CASA Kane County:
1. Volunteer – Become a CASA/GAL volunteer and your voice will make a difference to an abused or neglected child.
2. Donate – You can support CASA Kane County through individual donation, event sponsorships, your company’s matching gift program, or by hosting CASA/GAL volunteers in their efforts to help our community’s most vulnerable children.
3. Connect – You can support the organization’s mission even if you don’t have time to become a CASA/GAL. The organization has many volunteer opportunities and activities available for you to attend and get involved.
The organization has also partnered with the Fox Valley Deals group to send an email blast and all new Facebook “Likes” in through the end of August will be added to a raffle drawing for a prize. Participating in social media is a low cost and effective way for CASA Kane County to increase awareness of the important work we are doing to help children who have been abused or neglected in Kane County.
