Historic Anvil Club in East Dundee Now Open to Public for Friday Lunch
The historic Anvil Club, a members-only dinner club located in East Dundee, is now open to the public on Fridays for lunch.
The Anvil Club has recently undergone extensive renovations both inside and out. The newly renovated Veranda is now open to the public for lunch on Fridays. The Veranda boasts beautiful floral displays and potted greenery as well as a fire pit and an extensive bar. Tours of the facility are available, as well.
The Veranda is open to the public from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fridays, weather permitting, and reservations are required. Business-casual attire is acceptable for Veranda guests. The Veranda menu is available online. For lunch reservations, call 847-426-7710.
About the Anvil Club
The Anvil Club is located at 309 Meier St., East Dundee, IL. Its history can be traced back to 1875 when wagon-masters Hendricks and Mueller carried out their business from this location. In 1911 Herman Becker became the owner, opening a blacksmith business there. In 1956, ten area businessmen opened The Anvil Club as a private dinner club featuring fine cuisine and themed dining rooms. The traditional continues today as a members-only dinner club that offers live entertainment, a member wine locker option and numerous holiday events.
