Kane County Moments: ‘Too Soon to Think of Autumn Mornings?’
‘Autumn Morning’
Image and text by Brian DeWolf, Photographer, www.BrianDeWolf.com
At the risk of reminding readers of our waning days of summer, especially after enduring last winter’s siege, this is a tranquil autumn scene. This image was a film capture in Wheeler Park during October.
As is probably apparent, this was one of those mornings the moon was “coming home” late. Dawn was breaking in the east as a full moon was about to set in the west. The temperature was only a bit cool, just cool enough to bring on a low ground mist. There was not a hint of wind stirring. A man was walking the path drinking his morning coffee and we both acknowledged the beginning of a great day.
It’s too soon to worry about the coming winter; there are still a lot of good days left in this solstice.
“The closer we look, the more there is to see.”
