AT 1017 AM CDT…NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED STRONG OUTFLOW WINDS AHEAD OF THUNDERSTORMS.

THE LEADING EDGE OF THESE WINDS WERE LOCATED ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM HOFFMAN ESTATES TO ST. CHARLES…MOVING EAST AT 45 MPH. WINDS UP TO 45 MPH…ARE POSSIBLE WITH THIS OUTFLOW.

CITIES AND TOWNS AFFECTED… DUPAGE AIRPORT… WAYNE… ST. CHARLES… GENEVA… BATAVIA… BARTLETT… WEST CHICAGO… STREAMWOOD… HOFFMAN ESTATES… OTHER LOCATIONS AFFECTED… COLLEGE OF DUPAGE…DUPAGE COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS…FERMILAB…KANE COUNTY COUGARS BALLPARK…MORTON ARBORETUM…OAKTON COMMUNITY COLLEGE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS:

GUSTY WINDS MAY CAUSE SMALL OBJECTS SUCH AS TRASH BINS TO BLOW AROUND. SEEK SHELTER IN A STURDY STRUCTURE UNTIL THESE STORMS HAVE PASSED.
