Officials from Kane County and the village of Burlington celebrated a historic groundbreaking ceremony Thursday, Aug. 7, 2014,for a $5 million project that will take the "jog" out of the road, improve traffic flow and create economic development opportunities for the village and Kane County as a whole. The project was decades in the making and required partnerships and coordination that was, in its own way, groundbreaking, as well.
