The Elgin Police Department is asking for help from the community with locating a missing person.

On Aug. 8, 2014, family members reported Terrence Ivery, a male black, 25 years of age, 6 feet, 3 inches and 225 pounds as missing. Terrence was last seen at approximately 12 p.m. Aug. 8, 2014, at his residence in the 600 block of Packard Drive in Elgin.

Ivery has a history of leaving home without notifying any family members. He was last seen wearing a blue or black T-shirt and blue or black shorts. He walks with a limp. He  has been known to travel by train into Chicago.

Citizens having information on the location of Terrence Ivery are asked to call the Elgin Police non-emergency number at 847-289-2700.
