It’s time to protect your identity and sensitive financial information! First Community Bank and Accurate Document Destruction are teaming up to do just that — free of charge.

From 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 23, bring any paper documents you would like to have shredded—bank statements, old tax returns, anything — to First Community Bank, 165 S. Randall Road, Elgin, and the document destruction team will effectively dispose of them for you on-site. The limit is 150 pounds of paper.

This is a “Drop-Off Only” event, so there’s no park-and-watch option.

First Community Bank and Accurate Document Destruction will take your old cell phones, too.

“We are collecting and recycling used and unwanted cell phones to benefit the Community Crisis Center,” First Community Bank says in a flyer. “Drop phones off at either Elgin location: 165 S. Randall Road or 50 Tyler Creek Plaza.”
