Four people have been charged in connection with the Thursday attempted armed robbery and shooting of three employees at a Kentucky Fried Fried Chicken on Aurora’s East Side.

According to WGN, Aurorans Claude Jackson, 45,  Joshua O. Scott, 26 and Chase West, 19, have been charged with attempted murder, aggravated battery and armed robbery. Fatima Robertson, 23, who lives with Jackson, was charged in connection to another crime.

The Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office reported Monday morning that the initial court appearances for Jackson, Robertson, Scott and West, is 9 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, in Courtroom 305 at the Kane County Judicial Center in front of Circuit Judge Susan Clancy Boles.

Aurora police handled the investigation with the assistance of the Kane County Sheriff’s Office, according to the Chicago Tribune and several other media sources.

The shooting took place around 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, at the KFC in the 1300 block of East New York Street.Two suspects — later identified as Jackson and West, according to WGN — entered the restaurant and demanded money from three male employees ages 17, 19 and 24. Jackson, who was armed with a rifle, opened fire and shot the employees, whose names were not released by authorities.

All three men were on parole at the time of the robbery and shootings, WGN reported.

Police apprehended Scott and West after tracing them to a home in the 1100 block of Liberty Street, according to an article in the Chicago Sun-Times. Police recovered what they believe to be the rifle used in the crime.

Bail was set at $2 million each for Robertson and Jackson, and $1.5 million each for Scott and West, WGN reports.
